We recently purchased this 1962 Jack Taylor, and as you can see, it has a few ‘upgrades.’ It is mostly intact, but the derailleurs had been changed for more modern, Japanese ones. The bike was probably set up with Huret Allvit derailleurs and when we get a chance, we are going to return the bike to correct period derailleurs. We are also going to install a Brooks B-17, Lyotard pedals, correct brake pads, TA waterbottle cage, and carefully remove the black tape.
Jack Taylor was one of the most regarded touring bicycle frame builder in the world for many decades.
